Manchester United striker Anthony Martial emulated Cristiano Ronaldo's 2008/09 feat of scoring in five different competitions in one season when he netted in the recent Europa League second-leg tie with Liverpool.
Since opening his Barclays Premier League account on his debut against Liverpool in September, Martial has also netted in the Capital One Cup (v Ipswich Town), Champions League (v Wolfsburg), Emirates FA Cup (v West Ham) and from the penalty spot against the Merseysiders last week.
In his final season at Old Trafford, Ronaldo's 18 goals helped United win the Premier League and he also scored in the FA Cup (v Derby County), League Cup (also v Derby), Champions League (v Inter Milan, Porto and Arsenal) and the Club World Cup (v Gamba Osaka).
