Manchester United and Everton contested a 0-0 draw in Wayne Rooney's Testimonial at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic came close to marking his first home appearance for the club with a goal and Luke Shaw was unlucky with a drive that deflected just the wrong side of the far post.
At the other end, David De Gea showed off his sharp reflexes to deny Ross Barkley while Romelu Lukaku and Kevin Mirallas spurned chances. But the night was all about Rooney and the fundraising for his charities as both sets of fans paid tribute to the skipper.
